Oral Communication Extended Abstract Guidelines
Submission of Extended Abstracts
Submitted abstracts for Oral Communications, must be original. Abstracts previously published or presented at an international scientific meeting cannot be submitted.
Abstract Submission Portal
All extended abstracts should be submitted via the online portal. Abstracts sent by e-mail or other means will not be considered.
The submitting author of the abstract must be the presenting author but does not have to be the first author. Please verify if you filled in the submitting author's name and e-mail address correctly – these contacts will serve for further correspondence with the author(s). All correspondence concerning the abstract will be sent to submitting author’s e-mail address.
The abstract submission portal will take you through the process of submitting your abstract. The abstract submission form is very straightforward, but some explanatory notes are also given below the fields to be filled in.
Language: extended abstracts and papers should be written in English.
Maximum length: All extended abstracts must be from 1000 and 1500 words (edited in accordance with these guidelines).
Session/Track: Please indicate in which general track you think your paper would fit better
Structure
- Title (Make the title of the abstract brief, informative and clearly indicating the nature of the proposal/research area. The maximum length of the title is 20 words)
- Author(s) name(s)
- Email address (for each author)
- Occupation/Title and affiliation of the principal author(s)
- Brief autobiographical note on the presenting author (50 words)
- Extended Abstract (up to 1500 words)
- Keywords (up to 5)
* Please make sure you remove all information from the abstract which might reveal your identity and of your institution.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
The extended abstract should be clearly divided into:
- Issue and argument
- References
- Methodology - agenda and stage of completion of research
- Takeaway and results
Spelling
Please ensure that the spelling of names, terms and abbreviations is consistent in the main body of the text
Tables and Figures
Tables and/or figures are to be submitted separately as attachments. For correct context, the place where these elements should be, must be mentioned in the text.
There is a limit of 5 documents per abstract.
Submission notification
Authors will be notified about the submission of their abstract by e-mail immediately. In case you do not receive confirmation within 24 hours, please check your spam folder. In case of no confirmation e-mail, please contact the secretariat: aimaclisbon2024@leading.pt
Authors will not be able to edit the abstracts after submitting them. If any changes are necessary, please email the secretariat aimaclisbon2024@leading.pt
Review process
All abstracts will be reviewed for their quality and relevance by the Programme Committee (PC), also taking in consideration the amount of submissions received in each session
